HEBS 2025 Set a New Standard for Beauty & Hair Industry Events
SECAUCUS, NJ (May 12, 2025) – The Hair Education Beauty Summit (HEBS) took place from May 3–5, 2025, at the Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus, New Jersey, bringing together over 2,500 beauty professionals, students, educators, brands and industry leaders.
This dynamic three-day event was designed to provide hands-on education, foster meaningful networking opportunities, and celebrate innovation and artistry across all areas of beauty—including hair, barbering, makeup, skincare and nails.
Sponsored byPureO Natural Products and LocN Hair Products, HEBS delivered a high-impact experience through live competitions, workshops, panel discussions, and expert-led classes. The mission of the event was to empower attendees to expand their skills, grow their businesses and connect with the beauty community.
The 2025 event kicked off in style on Saturday, May 3rd, with an exhilarating Yacht Party to set the tone for a weekend full of energy, creativity and celebration. Attendees enjoyed a unique opportunity to connect on the water before diving into two full days of educational sessions and high-level industry competitions.
One of the highlights of the weekend included thrilling competitions such as the Barber Olympics, Wild & Crazy Competition, and Barber Competition, where elite professionals showcased exceptional skill, creativity, and precision for nearly $50,000 in cash prizes. K. Michelle wrapped up the event with her powerhouse vocals and signature flair.
Throughout it all, there was a strong emphasis on how education fuels empowerment, resonating deeply with the audience. The most talked-about takeaway was the unity in the room. Across every booth, classroom, and competition, there was a powerful sense of support and shared ambition. HEBS aimed to impact every attendee and leave them with a lasting impression that can take their career to the next level.
“HEBS 2025 was an incredible reflection of the growth and power within the beauty and hair industry. As our second year producing this summit, we were proud to welcome such a dynamic community of stylists, barbers, educators and brands all under one roof,” said Nicole Shuler from HEBS.
Looking ahead, HEBS is preparing for even bigger events next year. In 2026, their competitions will incorporate fashion to further unite beauty and style.
The summit will return to Secaucus, New Jersey, and expand internationally for the first time in Lagos, Nigeria—extending its mission of education and empowerment to fashion and beauty communities around the world. “We’ll have bigger competitions, broader educational offerings and more opportunities for industry professionals to connect and shine,” added Shuler. “We’re taking everything we’ve learned in these first two years and using it as a foundation to scale thoughtfully and successfully.”
