If you happen to be passing through Houston, Texas be sure to check out a popular Houston food truck turned brick and mortar restaurant. This restaurant, Stuff’d Wings, has taken the trend of stuffed food items to a new level, putting a spin to it while adding Cajun down south flavors.
In the historic 3rd Ward of Houston sits, “Stuff’d Wings“, a concept built from a middle-class engineer just trying to figure out what his family should eat for dinner. In 2016, Stuff’d Wings Co-Owner, Jarrod Rector was exploring options on what to cook and he decided to get his wife’s two favorite items, dirty rice and chicken wings. After weighing his options, he decided to concoct something that he hadn’t seen before. He developed a way to stuff the wing with the dirty rice and fry it. Within a matter of days, Rector started making the stuff’d wings for family and friends during special occasions.
Stuff’d Wings favorites include mouth watering dishes such as the Ridin Dirty Wings (wings stuff’d with pork dirty rice) and Return of the Mac wings (chicken wings stuff’d with mac n cheese). These fan favorite dishes have been seen at popular events, festivals, carnivals, and venues. In efforts to continue expansion of the brand, Rector and his team are gearing up for a statewide Stuff’d Wings Food truck tour, stopping in cities such as Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio
