Summer Safety: With Donald Dunphy of The Volunteer Weather Guys
School is out! The final bell has rung, and now it’s time for the kids to have fun. So, lets talk a few safety tips to get you through the summer with as little pain as possible:
1. When you mow the lawn, first clear it of sticks and stones that can become flying missiles; wear goggles, and work crosswise on sloped terrain.
2. When camping, remember to shake out your shoes every morning in case a nasty spider or scorpion took refuge in them.
3. If you’re planning a picnic, don’t keep perishable food at room temperature longer than four hours. Chill foods ahead of time and keep them cold until it’s time to eat or grill them
