Tailgate Like a Pro

By: Frank Griffin
Football season is finally here, and for many fans, tailgating is
almost, or just, as important as the game itself. No matter what your budget
is, the most important thing is to have a blast supporting your team before the game.
The Food
You can go one of two ways when it comes to providing the food for
your tailgate party. The first and easiest way is to have it catered.
This might be sacrilegious for diehard tailgaters, but it is an
option. Saws BBQ (http://www.sawsbbq.com/)  has all the traditional
tailgate fare, including pork, chicken, sausages, dogs, potato salads,
macaroni & cheese and much more.
If you want to cook yourself, you can choose any of the supermarkets
in Birmingham to get your supplies.
Beverage
Just as important as the food is the beverage. Whether it is beer or
another spirit, make sure you have enough of it. You don’t want to run
out and grind the tailgate party to a halt. At HopCity Craft Beer &
Wine (HopCity Craft Beer & Wine), you more than 60 type of beer and
just as many or more wine selection.
Grill
Once you get your food, you need something to cook it on. Grills are
an essential tool for a successful tailgate. At Academy
you can get a wide range of grills for almost any budget.
If you are visiting and you don’t have a grill, don’t forget to look
into a disposable grill. You can get them at some supermarkets and
specialty stores.
Toys and Games
Half the fun of tailgating is playing games in the lot. So make sure
you have footballs, frisbees, bean bags, and other types of toys.
Again Academy, as well as Pennant Sports
(http://www.pennantsports.com/), and Dick’s Sporting Goods are an
option.

This list could, of course, get very long, but with these items on
hand, you can have a memorable tailgate party.
