A Stroll Down Easy Street

August 2, 2014 by Kaneshia

A Stroll Down Easy Street EDIT-1 By Brook Gregg

Looking around Easy Street Resale makes me want to decorate my home. I’ve already
fallen in love with a white dinning set, which would be perfect as my dinner table or in a
breakfast nook. I can shop here for anything in my home because I love it all and as the cofounder,
Rachel Goodson says, “You can’t go wrong if you only fill your home with things youpelhamposter5
truly love!” Easy Street Resale is a beautiful place to be featured as a vendor, because they only
select shabby chic, unique and antique inspired pieces. It’s like shopping for furniture in an art
gallery.
Bo and Rachel Goodson, the founders, are involved in their store and love having the
privilege to feature other people’s designs and talent. When I shop at Easy Street I can find
pieces of décor for almost anyone in my family. All of the pieces are shabby chic, but they can
be blended with modern styles as well. Bo and Rachel display furniture and décor from different
designers, which gives “other people an opportunity to share their creativity and talent” at Easy Street. Rachel and Bo say, “We are so blessed to have such wonderful vendors and we give them all the credit! Without them, there would be no Easy Street!” So, it’s like spending all day wandering through antique shops and driving up and down country highways but all the designers and styles are between their four walls (and it’s air conditioned!).

pelhamposter1 I can picture my best friend covering her walls with the Marquee Lights sold at Easy
Street, for her big city glamor style. And I’m dying to buy the standing cooler for my newly
screened-in porch (what says “Alabama summer” better than screen doors, ceiling fans and
coolers?). Truly, the variety of furniture at Easy Street Resale seems impossible to encompass in
these four walls. Bo and Rachel describe their selection as, “Our vendors essentially open up
their own little boutiques inside Easy Street”. As the client I can find a big array of furniture and
art from different decades and different price ranges while getting personal hands on assistance
you can only get at a small boutique. Big and small all in one place, makes sense, right?
Only at Easy Street Resale.
Deciding to open a consignment shop was not the Goodson’s first plan. They initially
wanted to keep a booth at a consignment shop and sell antiques, while job hunting. But, it was
clear they needed a fresh approach to antiques and consignment. After they walked out of yet
another store Bo said, “Why don’t we open our own store?” And that’s how Easy Street Resale
came to be. Now write your own success story, starting with the perfect desk and inspiring art
work from Easy Street Resale. Find them at 124 Bowling Lane, Pelham, AL 35124 and
www.EasyStreetResale.com or call them at 205.637.3313, happy hunting!
