On November 3rd 2018, Irene Ashu, Creative Director, Brice Nzeukou, Operations Manager and Sheiley Asana, Brand Development/Marketing Manager, launched Afrique Au Monde. Afrique Au Monde is creative agency and full scale production company, founded by a group of first generation Cameroonian/Nigerian-Americans.

Below is an exclusive Q and A with the Afrique Au Monde’s creative director, Irene Ashu. Here’s what she had to say:
Q: What inspired you to birth Afrique Au Monde?
A: Afrique Au Monde has always been a dream in the back of my mind. Creatively I wanted freedom. I want the freedom to create what makes me happy. I want to utilize my platform to uplift people like me who struggled getting into this industry. Afrique Au Monde to me is a gateway to give other people access to their dreams. While it is a dream of mine I feel like it’s for the people by the people.
Q: What is Afrique Au Monde’s specialization?
A: We specialize in all aspects of production. From music videos to live stage, we have the capacity to do it all. We are planning on branching into producing short-documentary series as well. We don’t want to limit ourselves creatively and in business. Afrique Au Monde also serves as a platform for creative activism. We hope to engage with the community and foster the growth of other young creatives. I am only in this position because someone else believed in me and supported by vision.
Q: Where do you see the company going in the future?
A: Global. We are on take over mode. We truly recognize that we don’t have limits. Brice is extremely business savvy and an amazing creative contributor. He has a diverse portfolio! Sheiley has a lot of knowledge across various industries and serves as creative contributor as well. Sheiley co-owns and manages a catering company/food truck. Afrique Au Monde is filled with multi-faceted individuals. Even our private partners are at the top of their industries.
Q: What do you want people to know about you?
A: We are open to collaborations! Please reach out if you’re an emerging artist, well established artist, or even a small business wanting to shoot a commercial. We do it all!
