McWane Science Center

The hands-on style of exhibits at the McWane Science Center will let you and your date really get into it. So what if it’s geared towards kids by making science fun and easy to understand – only you know that.

With the three levels of exhibits including aquariums with shark tanks, Dinosaurs, Art & Tech and an IMAX dome theatre this museum will make for an unforgettable date.

 

Birmingham Museum of Art

With more than 26,000 permanent collections you’ll have plenty of beautiful works to admire – besides your date. Paintings, sculptures, prints and drawings from all over the world are on display at the Birmingham Museum of Art.

 

Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame

A must-see for music lovers, the Jazz Hall of Fame let’s you view the actual instruments played by the greatest in Alabama Jazz.

 

Vulcan Park and Museum

Take your date to the top of the city. Located on Red Mountain, the Vulcan Center has the best views of Birmingham and an interactive history museum.

Don’t forget to mention that the giant figure out front is the largest cast-iron statue in the world; dedicated to the iron and steel industry, it’s also the official city symbol of Birmingham.
